Nutrition Intervention is a process to improve the nutrition diagnosis or nutrition problem by provision of advice, education, or delivery of the food component of a specific diet or meal plan tailored to the patient/client's needs. IAPEN recommends two step nutrition care process model in all Indian Hospital Settings for Implementing Advanced Nutrition Intervention and to identify Malnutrition at local, community and national level. Launch of IMW App at Surgical Nutrition, IAPEN Symposium Series, AIIMS, New Delhi

The launch of the IMW Application was done by Dr. Parmeet Kaur, Chief Dietitian, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr. Parmeet Kaur started her career at AIIMs in the year 1970 and has about 28 years of experience in nutrition care process. She got Distinguished Service Award by Geriatric Society of India in 2011, Ambassador of Humanity Award by Lions Club International and Most Efficient Group A Officer by Dr RPC, AIIMs in 2014. She has published in various national and international journals. We at IAPEN are deeply humbled after receiving the acceptance letter from Dr Parmeet Kaur for launching the IMW Toolkit. All India Institute of Medical Sciences is a well known hospital throughout India and it is believed that every Indian knows about this hospital. AIIMS was established in the year 1956. This will help in wide publicity throughout India and their by furthering IAPEN Aim to implement Nutrition Intervention in all Indian Hospitals. The IMW Toolkit Application was released on 22nd May 2019 in the Surgical Nutrition Symposium conducted by The Department of Surgery, The Department of Physiology and The Department of Dietetics of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
