The Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN) is an organization in the field of parenteral and enteral nutrition and promotes basic research, clinical research, advanced education, organization of consensus statements about clinical care and quality control.
Nurses can join IAPEN and help advance clinical nutrition in India. We give extensive training to nurses and also try recommend hospitals joined in IAPEN to give incentives for nurses who are participating in IAPEN Lifelong learning Initiative. Extensive career advancement schemes will also be proposed for expert nurses.
We give extensive priority to the nursing community and one of our Nutrition Support Certification Board Member is past Honorary Vice President of The Trained Nurses Association of India. The nurses contributions to patient care should be taken seriously and extensive priority on par with Doctors should be given to the nursing community. We conduct educational sessions that will elevate nursing practice, inspire transformation, promote innovation and energize you to thrive professionally. The planning committee, influenced by clinical experts, emerging trends and the challenges inherent in healthcare today, will endeavored to create a program specifically to meet the needs of nurses in direct care positions as well as those who are aspiring new and future leaders.

The IAPEN Lifelong Learning Initiative provides stimulating, congenial, and varied opportunities designed specifically for lifelong learners in advanced clinical nutrition research. In order to promote life long learning in basic clinical nutrition and to facilitate the academic pursuits of more number of nurses, IAPEN announces workshops and special training programs for nursing community.

We strongly feel that Nurses working in hospitals should get PhD degree. IAPEN has collaborated with various universities for helping students in getting PhD degree within 4 to 5 years duration.
