The Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN) is an organization in the field of parenteral and enteral nutrition and promotes basic research, clinical research, advanced education, organization of consensus statements about clinical care and quality control.
IAPEN is training Doctors, Dietitians, Nurses and other stakeholders for understanding the importance of pharma in hospital settings. Currently, we strongly feel that the Pharmaceutical Council of India has done an excellent job in training all B.Pharm or M.Pharm or Pharm.D graduates, post graduates or equivalent degree, on par with international standards.
We promote lifelong learning and bridge courses for Pharma to involve more critical care.
The above course contains one module (Critical Care Pharmacy) and 4 months training under a Nutrition Support Clinician. This will help understand the true potential of the Pharma degree in critical care settings. This course mainly identify and describe the scope of practice that characterizes
the critical care pharmacist and critical care pharmacy services.
